How to Cook Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta Step by Step
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of fettuccine pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the butter and let it melt. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to cook until the sauce has thickened, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: Combine Everything
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly. Gently fold in the sliced chicken until everything is well combined and heated through.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Transfer the creamy chicken Alfredo pasta to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
